How affiliate income works here
Modern Holistic Living participates in several affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates program and category-specific programs run by brands we recommend. When you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale.
This is what pays for the research, writing, and long-term maintenance of the site.
What affiliate relationships never do
- They never determine whether a product is included in our directory.
- They never determine a product's rank or how prominently it appears.
- They never change the trade-offs we describe.
- They never let a brand influence editorial copy.
Products without affiliate links
We recommend plenty of products where no affiliate program exists — or where we've chosen not to enroll. When that's the case, the product is treated exactly the same as any other.
If a product changes
If a product we recommended is reformulated, loses a certification, or falls short in independent testing, we remove or downgrade the recommendation regardless of what that does to affiliate income. Changes are logged in our Corrections Policy.
